Orissa is also renowned for traditional painting on fabric, wooden sculptures and toys, and papier-mâché masks which are then made from other materials and transposed onto jewelery and ornaments.

In small villages on the hills live the Bonda, whose women wear only a strip of cloth and adorn themselves with endless necklaces of colored beads, or the Gadhaba whose women wear large bronze earrings and massive metal collars.

Crafted with expert craftsmanship, these masks are often made of bronze, a material that gives them durability and timeless beauty. The finely chiseled details and careful crafting of the expressions give them a vivid and evocative appearance.
